Chris Earley

A versatile performer in many genres of music, Chris Earley has worked his way across the country as a freelance musician and educator moving from the Northwest to the Midwest and now the Northeast.

As a classical percussionist, he has performed in a number of capacities including the Washington Idaho Symphony, as a featured marimba soloist at the Northwest Percussion Festival and in a variety of percussion ensembles. Chris is currently the principal percussionist with the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra.

Outside of the classical world Chris is an active jazz musician having performed with many jazz greats including the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Eliane Elias, Bob Mintzer, John Abercrombie and many others. He can also be heard on a number of recordings including Jamie Shew’s, The Answers Are You and a CD with the Rochester-based Holland/Dobbins Little Big Band.

In addition to his performing, Chris Earley is an active educator and is currently the Program Coordinator of the Music Department at SUNY Ulster.
