Susan Parkyn Strauser is a performing artist, voice instructor, lecturer, & artistic director. Graduating with Bachelor’s & Master’s Degrees in Voice with honors & awards from West Chester University, she has studied with distinguished artists such as : Gerhard Huesch, William Murray, William Shriner, Fritz Krueger and Lois Williams. She has appeared in recital, orchestral, operatic, chamber music series & musical theatre, singing works of noted composers & portraying numerous dramatic roles.

Winner of The New Jersey Opera Festival, she has performed with the orchestral ensembles of West Islip, Hudson Valley, Indiana University, West Chester, & New Jersey, with The American String Conference, Columbia Univ. Concerts, St. John The Divine, St. Michael’s Cathedral Church in NYC, West Point Cadet Chapel, Lunch ‘n Listen Series for Cable TV, Lumberland Cultural Series, The Delaware Valley Opera & St. John’s Episcopal Church Concert Series. She has served as Founding Director of The Voice Program at SUNY Ulster in N.Y. and The Vocal Arts Studio of N.Y., as well as guest lecturer & instructor for colleges and schools. Listed in Marquis’ Who’s Who in America, The World, & American Women, her performance funding has been underwritten by sponsors including The New York State Council on The Arts,The Osram Corporation,Delaware Valley Arts Alliance & Opera Company, The IBM Corporation and Chase Manhattan Bank.
